“Dry bones rattle in a lonely soul
Slipped and fell into a deep black hole
I can tell you’re lost, I’m here for you
Wildfires burning you down to stone
Blind eyes, turning from a world so cold
A million miles apart, within my reach.” – Papa Roach’s Leave a Light On
“It’s not like me to worry
But when I see you fading in the dark
I’ll leave a light on for you
Through the long nights, I will be right
There for you if you drift too far
I’ll leave a light on for you” – Papa Roach’s Leave a Light On
Hello, my name is Violet Royale. Living on this planet is hard for me, since I’m quite different.
In fact, my mind functions quite strangely. It makes some people believe I do not belong on this world. That is why they usually consider me as an alien.
After I realized this, I dedicated myself, together with my best friend Horus, to trying to find answers. I made huge efforts and later became a teacher to guide others in their personal search.
You can see Horus and me in this pic!

To give you a clearer picture about the topic I’m going to talk about today, I want to start by defining the word Neurodiversity or Neurodivergence. This way, you’ll probably understand what creates a gap between me and other individuals.
Neurodivergence is a term attributed to a person when their brain processes, learns, and behaves differently than what is thought of as “typical.”
Ouch, yes. I’m not a standard person. Yet, I still keep living a happy healthy life when surrounding with people like me. Finding your Niche is a very helpful strategy for us.
Don’t worry if you can relate. Everything changes. We’re part of a Transformation in the Human DNA. We’re the first ones who show traces of such a great thing. We’re like the X-Men: Mutants.
Many of us belong to the Generation X. Maybe, this is just a coincidence or could be part of the explanation. Take it as you better understand it.
Before associating this type of Genetic Mutation in human beings with Neuroscience, there was talk of Indigo Children. This vision began to be used by Nancy Ann Tappe in 1982, who was a psychic with the ability to read the aura (the energy that governs people), after publishing her book called “Understanding Your Life through Color.”
All of this can be connected to Psychology, since when we, as mental health professionals and educators, talk about an individual being Neurodivergent, we’re referring to a non-medical term that describes those who have brains that develop or function uniquely for some reason.
This has not been considered a problem or anomaly, as it simply means that the person has different strengths and weaknesses than those with brains that develop in a standard way.
According to Neurodiversi, in their article titled Understanding Neurodivergence, another vision of Neurodivergent Individuals should be taken. Their perspective views them as “unique minds that offer new perspectives, greater creativity, and extraordinary problem-solving skills that can revolutionize industries and advance our society.”
In this sense, I’ll say it is necessary to promote the creation of integrative environments, where a culture can be developed that values diversity, accepts individuality and releases the untapped potential of the Neurodivergent Community.
The fact of not being able to fit into social typologies means that Neurodivergents can present certain medical conditions, the medical diagnosis of which is usually erroneous due to the lack of information on this topic.
Many adults keep asking to themselves the same questions: Am I wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix myself? Why it seems so hard to be understood?
There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re NOT a freak or weirdo. It’s part of the change and it creates certain frictions with those who can’t see what’s happening.
To feel better and accept yourself, play this…
I know this can lead to excessive stress or anxiety, tending to be classified as a Psychological Personality Disorder. The main reason is that the situations that make Neurodivergents consider themselves outside of what is considered socially accepted are that their high levels of distress lead them to look for ways to deal with the symptoms they tend to present.
This makes pharmaceutical drugs and medications counterproductive for them. The problem is it counteracts all the abilities these individuals possess.
It would be like putting to sleep a genius who urgently needs to communicate his ideas to those around him.
This leads to an increase in their atypical behaviors, since it would be generating greater concerns. In this case, it is advisable to try to do everything that produces peace of mind.

Types of Neurodivergence
According to Adipa (2023), among the officially accepted Types of Neurodivergence in Psychiatry are:
- Autism:
Also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder or Autism Spectrum, it is a neurobiological developmental disorder that’s evident from the beginning of childhood. The ways of manifesting themselves usually vary between each person.
Among its substantial characteristics you’ll find the degree of difficulty for communication and social interaction, added to the presence of atypical, restrictive and repetitive patterns of habits and activities.
Autism is not a disease, so there is no cure. It is a condition that persists throughout life.
There are various degrees of Autism, among which you can encounter Asperger Syndrome or High Functioning Autism. However, since it is a condition and not a disorder, it is no longer part of this category.
- 2. Asperger Syndrome (AS) or High Functioning Autism:
This is a limiting condition of neurodevelopment in which significant difficulties in social interaction and non-verbal communication are evident, along with restricted and repetitive patterns of behavior and interests. This results in those who suffer from it only understanding Literal Language and rejecting fiction.
Although these are the most common characterisctics of this Syndrome, I find it harder to communicate orally. Writing has been a great strategy for healthy interactions.
- 3. Dyslexia:
It’s a specific Learning Disorder within the classification of Neurodevelopmental Disorders. This refers to people with difficulties in Learning and using Academic Skills.
It is distinguished by difficulties in reading precise words, mastery of number sense, and the ability to understand the meaning of what is read.
No matter this, I’ve met many brilliant individuals who were diagnosed with this disorder that have managed to get high scores and got their university degrees successfully.
- 4. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD):
This is a Neurological Developmental Disorder, in which a recurring pattern of inattention or hyperactivity and impulsivity is evident, affecting performance or development.
Their symptoms may interfere with their academic, social, or work life. But I’ve helped many clients overcoming this limitation. It’s a matter of finding the best strategy for them.
- 5. Other Neurodivergence Disorders:
- Dyspraxia (DS): This is placed under the category of a Developmental Coordination Disorder, whose symptoms include delays in sitting or walking, showing difficulty jumping or doing tasks, or learning how to tie their shoelaces.
- Synesthesia (SD): This is a Condition that can occur when a person is able to hear colors, see sounds or appreciate textures when they taste something. Beethoven, Bach, Beethoven, then Franz Liszt, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, and Claude Debussy had this. Nevertheless, they were led by their elevated intuition to create masterpieces.
- Epilepsy (ES): It is a Neurological Disorder that is caused by increased electrical activity in neurons in some area of the brain. They suffer from a series of seizures or repetitive uncontrolled body movements.
- Bipolar Disorder (BD): It was previously called Manic Depression, because it is a Mental Illness that causes extreme changes in mood that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and emotional lows (depression). In this case, it’s important to determine the source of such variations.
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Individuals display irrational thoughts and fears (obsessions) that cause compulsive behaviors. To have a clearer idea about this, you can recall Jack Nicholson’s movie called Melvin Udall.
- Tourette Syndrome (TS): It is an alteration in the nervous system that causes people to have tics, spasms, movements or sudden sounds evident repeatedly and without voluntary control.

Ethics, Beliefs and Neurodivergent Disorders
Despite the fact that most human beings think otherwise, scientists now understand that Neurodivergence is not substantially a problem for the individual since it can represent a great social benefit.
I told you, not everything is negative. “In this treacherous world, nothing is the truth nor a lie. Everything depends on the color of the crystal through which one sees it.”
These disorders are NOT necessarily a Disability, but rather a difference in Brain Function. With this paradigm shift, professionals no longer treat Neurodivergence as a disease.
Currently, they’re considered as Different Methods of Learning and Information Processing, which is why they are interpreted as disabilities when we operate within an inaccessible and unable to society.
What’s being stated here deals with a Genetic Mutation. In other words, a change is occurring in one or more genes. While it’s true some mutations can cause diseases or genetic disorders, it must also be taken into account that society is not something rigid or static.
To be more rational, you do not have to go to the extremes that represent spiritual beliefs. The only thing this could cause is greater confusion. The information that has not yet been made evident often deals with topics for which a scientific explanation has not yet been found.
I believe you must try to find feasible answers that provide the security you need for not feeling odd. However, spirituality can bring inner peace and easier answers to accept yourself the way you are.
A consequence of all this is that an Occult vision is being proposed about this Mutation. It should be noted that Occultism is the study of various mysterious knowledge and practices.
This includes magic, alchemy and divination, and other strategies that aim to unlock the secrets of the Cosmos.
Not getting answers for everything that happens around us could make us put some phenomena into this sort of knowledge. History has proven once they’re upgraded, they get certified by Science.
Despite the social rejection that exists towards these topics, the Holy Scriptures of various religions have made part of their wisdom unknown. As an example of this, there are the Biblical Apocrypha.
These are ancient books that are believed to have been written sometime between 200 BC and AD 400 and have remained preserved from humanity.
In recent years, many ethical, legal, and social controversies have arisen regarding genetic testing and research. For safe and appropriate use, the results must be analyzed with acceptance so that people are aware of the risks and benefits involved.
Multiple concerns have arisen about the interpretation and possible consequences of the existence of new Genetic Information. These relate to a variety of misuses.
The analytical and clinical validity of a genetic test, the stigma attached to carrying a genetic difference, and the duty to disclose findings to potentially affected members are questioned.
To protect people from the additional distress that being part of a Genetic Mutation can bring, health care providers must be aware of the ethical, legal and social issues interconnected with Genetics in the field of Psychological Care.
That’s why it’s vitally important to be aware of the existence of concepts, linked to this Variation in Human DNA, that have to do with Occult Knowledge, considered as Esoteric.
In this sense, Neurodivergent People would come into play. They resemble what is known as Starseeds and who were initially associated with the generic term Indigo People.
Although prophets and seers believe that Starseeds are “advanced spiritual beings, from other planets and realms, who possess spiritual and scientific knowledge dating back hundreds of thousands of years,” this is related to scientific issues that are still unknown. no evidence has been found.
Their benevolence and desire to help all living beings, through a vision that incorporates all kingdoms and universes, is not about individuals seeking to control interplanetary resources for the benefit of their home planets.
What’s actually being proposed is the existence of individuals who have a different or Neurodiverse brain functioning, as a product of the Mutation in the Human Genome, who like everyone else, are seeking to adapt to society in a productive and efficient way.
This is related to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory. They could be placed at different levels of the pyramid, depending on their interests.
Actually, they have the same needs and concerns as other human beings, but at the same time they are struggling to find a space in which they can feel calm, accepted, loved, respected and trascendent.
If this is your case, the ideal strategy is to Find Your Niche. This can be achieved by knowing in depth the characteristics that stand out the most in your personality. This way they will be able to contribute with the positive aspects that being different on a Cognitive level entails.
In turn, this Metacognitive process will allow you to cope with the complications that may arise in your daily life, at the same time that they will be developing the Affective component, by learning to channel your emotions effectively.
Horus and I did so and got excellent results. Give it a try.
